Here are ten great ways that may just help show you how to manage stress in your life:

1. Avoid rushing. Plan on it before hand and leave ten minutes earlier than normal.

2. Wind down your day by engaging in calming activities at least one to two hours before going to bed.

3. Exercise regularly to relax your muscles and your mind, and improve your general well-being.

4. Spend a minimum of 10-30 minutes every single day engaged in any activity that you find very relaxing.

5. Schedule difficult work for when you’re rested and alert.

6. Rehearse for stressful events by visualizing the situation or practicing what you will say.

7. Help others; it really works and it can keep you from blowing your own problems out of proportion.

8. Talk issues out with your personal support system of family or close friends.

9. Relax your body and close your eyes and do some gentle stretching and deep breathing.

10. Accept that you may not be able to control every situation, and that you really can change your reaction to it.
